Modernisation and maintenance of a legacy case management system. The project’s aim was to improve existing
business processes in a leading criminal investigation agency and to replace the legacy technology stack with an
easy-to-use, up-to-date system.
Computer technology has placed vast
amounts of information at the fingertips of law enforcement officers. While agencies have immediate access to a
large collection of crime data, they face new challenges on how to rely less on human intervention to uncover
the intelligence from raw data. As new technology emerges, law enforcement agencies must adapt techniques and
amend policies to better serve and protect communities. Corballis modernised the agency’s legacy software
architecture to improve and support the pursuit of crime suspects. As a result, the number of manual processes
to gather, capture and record key information relating to investigations has greatly reduced, while information
sharing between departments and their technologies has become simpler.
The bespoke case management system
implemented by Corballis allows law enforcement officers to quickly see all important aspects of the
investigation. Documents, relationships, assets, correspondences, court transcripts and everything else that
might be important about an organisation or a person is visualised using a highly intuitive graphical user
interface that drives investigation effectiveness.

and defence company.
Governments are required to manage
and secure their borders through the use of traveller intelligence. This is achieved by collecting passenger
information from airlines operating flights to and from their country. Collecting traveller information is a
complex process, because governments need to deal with a large number of airlines and border security agencies
are required to comply with international data protection laws. The aim is to simplify the collection of
traveller data for border management, profiling and threat analysis. The solution Corballis implemented for its
client greatly simplifies the process of data collection, allowing border security agencies to concentrate their
efforts on the actual data and threat analysis.
Our solution supports the
collection of critical Advance Passenger Information (API) and Passenger Name Record (PNR) data within a
flexible platform designed to accommodate varying government and border management requirements. It
seamlessly integrates into the border management and border control systems.

Dynamic websites, like Wordpress,
have upsides and downsides. Some of it's downsides are that the speed and the hardware requirement of the
website is not always the lowest, this costs the user experience. Wordpress has also a wide range of
vulnerabilities. These are just some of the errors we would like to eliminate and for this job, a static content
generator is the best solution.
Hexo is one of the fastest static content generator.
Constantly updated and actively maintained. Hexo's repository on GitHub is very active and it's actively being maintained.
It's simple and flexible.
Hexo works well with Github and it's easy to keep track of the versions of the website.
